After our evening visit to the Rolandsburg, I wonder why we didn't go earlier - I can only agree with the hymns of praise from previous speakers! Not only delicious, lovingly prepared food, but also the attentive and very friendly service let you feel and taste that experienced professionals are at work here! Added to this is the ambience of the interior, which has been skilfully designed with a lot of passion and in which you immediately feel at ease. All of this is rounded off by a delicious dessert and a wide range of recommended spirits. The nice conversations, the humor and the friendliness of the owner couple Schmitz remain as nice memories of a great evening! CONCLUSION: It IS definitely the best restaurant in town - shaped by innkeepers who live enjoyment and hospitality with skin and hair! THANK YOU for this gem that you have created here in Bergisch with great dedication! We will definitely see each other again if possible, even if it's just for a snack, a glass of good wine or one of your fabulous brandies. I wish you a lot of perseverance in this difficult time for gastro! And if the dreaded lockdown should come again, I can only recommend everyone to get something special into the gray everyday routine with the ToGo service! Bye for now!

We went to eat here for the second time today. It's the best restaurant far and wide! The ambience is super cozy with lots of lovely details. The service is very attentive and very friendly. And the food is a taste explosion! If you want to eat really well, you just have to come here! We will definitely do it again 😁👍!

One of the best chefs in the region is at the stove here, and the service is always friendly and courteous. Our guests were full of praise. I look forward to the next time!

Matter of the heart First of all. Excellent, top price-performance ratio, freshness, magical ambience, exceptionally tasty food are the attributes that best describe this small restaurant. A place that you would not expect in the small town of Morsbach. When we moved here at the time, we noticed this restaurant passing by because it already has something fairytale-like from the outside. Like a small castle with a turret, it almost looks as if you can wake Sleeping Beauty from your sleep, while 7 dwarfs compete for Snow White's favor. But only marginally. You won't find food anywhere else in the area. Let's stay with the main map for now. The schnitzel is juicy and tasty, with French fries and croquettes, mushrooms in a creamy sauce and a salad so big that it would almost go as a main course elsewhere. With the salad, each carrot is grated by hand, the coleslaw itself and the radish itself and the actual salad dressing. Lovingly garnished with sprouts and cress. And for € 16.50! The fillet steaks are roasted sensationally and as you would like them to be. It doesn't matter whether it's English, medium rare, medium or blue, as you order it, you get it too. As if the cook was standing next to it with a stopwatch, so that the cooking point is perfect. If you "dare" to do that, order something from the additional card, which also offers seasonal items. He will not be amazed, because now it will be creative and delicious anyway. Recently my husband had the pork fillet tagliata on rocket salad with parmesan and I had the kaitums prawns on young bean kernels with ham chips. A dream, I can only say. The pork fillet was, of course, perfectly fried and anything but dry, which is what happens with pork fillet in restaurants. Not here! And my shrimp. I will rave about it in 10 years. Crunchy on the outside and slightly glassy on the inside. So juicy and tasty. That little sauces are a dream, the small bean kernels are crunchy and everything is rounded off with a little lemon oil. There were a few chilli threads for the eye. Honestly, I don't know the last time I had better prawns. These were just a few examples, I could go on for hours! And when I read here in some reviews: too expensive, unfriendly ... it really breaks my heart! Of course there is a schnitzel in the french fries around the corner for € 12.00 where the "hunter's sauce" is then thrown out of the bucket onto the dry-farted schnitzel "finely" arranged next to the coleslaw which also comes from a bucket. Honestly, whoever complains about the prices here in the Rolandsburg may be better off in the French fry just mentioned. And a word about service. I have never found him unfriendly. But on the contrary. I see a dedicated young lady who usually has to "service" the service on her own. We must not forget one thing, we are in the country. Everyone wants their food quickly and on time, preferably at 6 p.m. And in between there are such special guests - an example that wants to make the lady believe that the mushrooms are canned and when I see how confidently and politely she still reacts - knowing that not one in the kitchen Can is used - on the contrary, your husband even selects every single small mushroom himself so that it meets his requirements, then I only cancel HUT! I advise everyone who finds it unfriendly to look in the handbag for a mirror and look inside and, if necessary, to exchange an hour with the service staff. Maybe the world will look very different. True to the motto: how it calls into the forest .. In this sense: Thank you very much, dear team from the Rolandsburg! Nice to have you!

Hello everybody, yesterday on Easter Sunday we picked up our pre-ordered meal in the Rolandsburg. Our grandson 6 years old, had eaten his schnitzel in record time and said it tasted really delicious. As always, it was delicious! We thank the team at Rolandsburg!

I was in the restaurant again today. The card fulfills all wishes. The chosen food was again excellent. Service very good again. Everything can only be recommended!

The restaurant is great and an asset to the place. The decor is very nice and lovingly detailed with taste. The upscale cuisine offers very tasty and artfully served dishes, whose ingredients, always freshly matched, are a treat. Especially the salads are recommended, as each is provided with an individual dressing and guarantees a taste explosion. The toilets are very clean, smell pleasantly fresh and are tastefully decorated. In front of the house there are enough parking possibilities.

Superclass eaten there. All courses were plentiful and tasted excellent. Kudos to the wizard in the kitchen.

Very nice guest house. Something like that you rarely find today. Here you can see and feel that the operators are still themselves with heart and soul in the matter .. The food was delicious, the portion also filling. Prices start the dishes but only at about 18 € to an average of 25 €. A glass of beer 0.3 Veltins on tap is fine at € 2.50. The ambience is very quaint and a bit upscale. So quite the price for me can not understand, but would still eat there again. It can be natural that they are regional ingredients.
